Why Chinese, why now

A language that rewires how kids think.

Mandarin isn't just another second language. Its tones train the ear, its characters build visual memory, and its 5,000-year culture opens a completely different way of seeing the world. Learn it young and it stays for life – with an accent, fluency, and cognitive edge adult learners simply can't catch up to.

#1
Most-spoken language on Earth
Over 1.1 billion Mandarin speakers – more than any other language in the world.
5,000
Years of living culture
Poetry, philosophy, food, film, and history your child can access from the inside.

Mandarin is one of the most in-demand career languages of the next 30 years.

Tones train the ear for life

Mandarin's four tones sharpen pitch, listening, and musical ability in ways no other common school language does.

Characters build a different kind of brain

Learning Chinese characters exercises visual memory and pattern recognition – research links it to stronger math and reading skills.

A native-like accent, only possible young

Tones and Mandarin sounds are the hardest thing for adult learners. Kids absorb them effortlessly – a window that closes fast.

A serious career edge

Business, diplomacy, medicine, tech, research – Mandarin is a rare, high-value skill that sets your child apart for decades.

Kids who felt it

“She didn't think she could speak. Then she did.”

My son was nervous about speaking Chinese to a real person. His teacher kept it easy, laughed with him when he stumbled, and by the end of 30 minutes he was actually holding a small conversation. That was not what I expected from a free class.

The free class exceeded our expectations. Since then, it's clear our daughter is more confident. She even loves going to Chinese restaurants and talking with the waiters. We're so glad we found this.

Common questions

Everything parents ask us.

What if my child is shy or nervous?

That's most kids on day one. Our teachers are trained to warm them up gently with games, visuals, and low-pressure prompts. It's totally normal for the first few minutes to be quiet – by the end of the free class, most kids are speaking words back on their own.

What if my child doesn't know any Chinese yet?

Perfect – that's exactly who our program is built for. Classes start from zero and everything is visual, so no prior Chinese is needed. Your child will hear and repeat their first Chinese words in the very first lesson.

Do I need to be in the room during class?

For ages 4–6, we especially recommend it. Being nearby helps with the tech and keeps them engaged. For ages 7–9, sometimes it's necessary and sometimes they do great on their own; you can decide what works best for your child.

What device works best?

A laptop or desktop with a webcam and Google Meet is ideal. Tablets work too. Headphones help but aren't required.

Do we need to have the camera on?

No. You don't need to have the camera on. Whatever makes you and your child the most comfortable is completely fine.

What happens after the free class?

Zero pressure. If it's a good fit, you pick a plan and we'll book your child's ongoing classes at your ideal time. If it's not, we part ways as friends – no card on file, nothing to cancel.

How does scheduling work?

Scheduling is flexible. Each month you're charged, your plan gives you a set number of class credits (for example, 4, 8, or 12). When you book a class, one credit is deducted. We don't hold classes on major U.S. holidays, but outside of those we generally have plenty of availability so you can pick times that work for your family.

How fast are they going to be learning Chinese?

They'll be learning words and phrases from the very first class. Most kids are speaking Chinese back to the teacher within the first 30 minutes.
